Dinner With Cabbage

Last night I made cabbage, sausage, and potato pocket. This was a simple, but tasty fulfilling meal. You have your vegetable, starch, and protein. Not only is this recipe full of flavor, but it’s also healthy for us. For this recipe I did add some changes, but not too many changes. This is the perfect recipe to make during the weekday, because it doesn’t take too much time. This recipe is also inspired from The Healthy Sheet Pan book.  Your Prep time will be about 10 minutes. 1 ½ yellow potatoes

½ head green cabbage

1 pound sweet Italian sausage ( cut into thick pieces)

2 tablespoon unsalted butter

½ teaspoon kosher salt

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Added Ingredients:

About 1/8 head red cabbage

½ teaspoon season salt

½ teaspoon garlic powder

NOTE: Always season to your own taste buds. I used Italian turkey sausage.

Once you have all your ingredients, you could start your prepping. Your going to preheat your oven to 400 degrees. First your going to cut your potatoes in half ( or big blocks to cook faster), dice up your cabbage, and your Italian sausage. Place your potatoes, cabbage, and sausage into the center of the foil. Place the foil on top of the sheet pan. Then season your meal and cut some butter over the top. Finally bake the meal for about 45 minutes. And enjoy.
